What’s your favourite place on the Northern Beaches?
Out in the surf off Fairy Bower. It’s not just the 360 degree view you’re treated to, under your board are these enormous, perfect boulders with fish moving between them. It’s a special spot.

Is there something about you that would surprise people?
I’m a talented tree climber. My mates reckon the best they’ve seen!

What’s something everyone should do at least once?
Go to Oktoberfest in Munich and fully immerse yourself in everything Bavarian. Eat what you want, drink as much as you can, sleep in your lederhosen.

It’s Sunday afternoon, where do we find you?
Usually by my wood fire grill or smoker. I work most Friday and Saturday nights so Sunday is a day of catching up with family and friends.

If you were down to your last $50 what would you spend it on?
I’d spend it on Yum Cha at Top BBQ in Dee Why. Their dumplings are legit.

How did commentating happen? How long have you been doing it for?
I have been commentating over a decade now and I have been with Channel 9/Stan Sports for the last 2 years.

Best business experience?
Commentating the Rugby World Cup Final in Japan 2019. Just thinking back to that tournament makes me happy and proud – it was a bucket lister.

If you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing?
Running a small food truck business on the mid North Coast and surfing every other day.

Best part of your job or most enjoyable part of your job?
Being able to provide a player a moment in time that they can showcase to their kids/grandkids one day. I also love the adrenaline hit.

Most stressful part of your job?
Missing my call time.

Weirdest thing that has ever happened at work?
I met David Hasselhoff a couple of years back in LA – that was a strange one.

What’s the best part of working on the Northern Beaches? Why did you chose to work here?
I’ve lived here all my life, I couldn’t think of anywhere else I’d rather be.

What would you rate 10/10?
Time with family and friends where we’re drinking wine, listening to music and eating good home made food. That’s nirvana for me.

What is the best advice you’ve received?
Leave them smiling.

What’s the best thing that’s happened to you this week?
Coffee in bed from my daughter and a homemade meal made by my partner Marissa.

Greatest strength?
I can communicate with kids in a way they really respond to

Greatest weakness?
I am a big kid most of the time.

What’s your most treasured possession?
The outdoor wood fire grill is hard to beat!

What’s your idea of absolute happiness?
Being able to live the answer to question 17 every single day.

If you were an animal what would you be?
A dolphin

What’s your guilty pleasure?
Spicy Margarita – I don’t drink them often but when it’s on….

How would you like to be remembered?
As a guy who smiled first and brought some level of happiness to the people he met

If we could ask you one more question what would it be and what’s your answer? ‘Seanny, would you like to do some auctioneering work for us in your down time? Sure team, let’s meet for a yum cha and map it out’.
